Hello, I am Corina Boylen, Food Service Supervisor here at South Lane and I absolutely love to serve our students here in Cottage Grove. A little about me - I am a mother of three young men and have been in "School Food" for 10 years. I believe we have an opportunity to bridge the hunger gap while also exposing every child to the vast world of food. Exploring different flavors, textures and cultural foods while educating students about the unknown, opens their minds and palettes to a whole new lifestyle possibility regarding food and health. I believe in cleaner eating and try to incorporate more scratch meals vs the popular processed items - offering a balance of choices in our menus. In my free time I like to dance, paint, do photography and love to play in my garden or outside in the sun. I am a sucker for Hawaii and hope to retire on Maui someday. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE food and try to make healthy choices, but I love serving my community even more. It is my goal to have every single student eat with us - so that we can feed 100% of our kiddos. Childhood hunger was something I experienced and it is my goal to never let one single child miss a meal.
