Kennedy students and staff have completed multiple environmental restoration, environmental education, and trail building projects. Each project, in and of itself, is a benefit not only to the environment but also to the community of people that regularly get out to enjoy the Pacific Northwest. The projects leave an indelible imprint on the students as well. When given an opportunity to learn beyond the walls of the traditional classroom, our students have thrived. Through their accomplishments, they have adopted a sense of civic responsibility and pride. Many have transformed their own paradigms, moving from an experience of difficulties in educational institutions to becoming enthusiastic learners.
