Superintendent

Welcome to South Lane School District!

I am incredibly honored and excited to introduce myself as your new Superintendent. As I step into this role, I am filled with optimism and a deep commitment to our students, staff, families and community. The South Lane School District community has a rich history of supporting its schools, and I am inspired to contribute to its continued success.

My priorities as superintendent will be to listen, learn, collaborate, support, and lead—always keeping our students at the center of my work. I am eager to tap into the wealth of information and talent that exists in South Lane, to bolster the great work already happening, and to help in areas where needed.

My journey, from instructional assistant to special education teacher, principal, charter school director and now superintendent, continually reminds me that students belong at the heart of our work. Acknowledging and embracing each student’s individual story, goals and strengths help unlock their fullest potential, fueling my commitment to all students and their success. I also know that it takes an entire community working together to deliver the best possible outcomes. I look forward to partnering with the South Lane community to find new ways to build additional opportunities for collaboration. 

As our students grow through the years, our goal is to equip them with the skills and experiences necessary to become successful adults and pursue their ambitions. With our Early Learning Center, we start this journey from a young age and continue it until each student walks across our stage and receives their diploma. Education in the South Lane School District takes place in our classrooms, on the athletic fields, on the stage, and in the community. 

Every child is welcomed and supported in their pursuit of success. We look forward to a great school year and watching success happen, one child at a time.

South Lane is a special place. I am honored to be a part of it. I look forward to meeting many of you in the coming weeks and months. My door is always open, and I welcome your feedback and ideas as we embark on this journey together.
