Weekly Update

Front of Lincoln Middle School

Lincoln Families,

The week we've all been waiting for is finally here, our students are coming back in just a few days, and we could not be more excited to welcome them home to Lincoln! Over the past several weeks, our entire team has come together to make sure this start to the year is smooth, joyful, and memorable. Our custodians and maintenance crew have spent the summer getting our buildings and grounds looking their best, our kitchen staff has built exciting new menus and can't wait to start cooking for kids again, and our educational assistants are counting down the days until they're back in classrooms connecting with students. Whether a staff member has been preparing for weeks or just a few days, one thing is true across our whole building: the excitement is contagious, and we can't wait to see our students again!

This year, our school theme is "Driving Toward Excellence", and just like any great journey, we know that getting there takes the right mix of direction, determination, and support along the way. We believe every student walking through our doors has what it takes to do their best work here at Lincoln, whether that means mastering a new math concept, finding their voice in a class discussion, making a new friend, or simply showing up with courage on a hard day. Excellence isn't a destination we expect students to reach alone; it's a road we travel together. That's why we have an incredible team of teachers, support staff, coaches, and mentors ready to be in the passenger seat with your student, cheering them on, helping them navigate bumps in the road, and celebrating every mile marker of progress along the way. This year, we're excited to keep the momentum going and see just how far our Lincoln students can go.

Here are a few helpful reminders as we kick off the year together:

  • Wednesday & Thursday: Only 6th graders attend.
  • Wednesday: No school supplies needed.
  • Thursday: Please bring school supplies — this day will feel like the "official" first day of school.
  • Friday: Only 7th & 8th graders attend.
  • Breakfast is served daily starting at 7:40 a.m. (Please note we do not have supervision before this time.)

If you need anything at all, please don't hesitate to reach out, we're always here to help.

Most importantly, please know that every single staff member in our building is eager to welcome your student back with open arms.

Here's to a wonderful year ahead!

Warmly,

Laura Clark
Principal
