In Oregon, the CTE Program of Study is the cornerstone of CTE programming. In the Perkins V Act, the term “program of study” means a coordinated, non-duplicative sequence of academic and technical content at the secondary and postsecondary level that culminates in the attainment of a recognized postsecondary credential and/or degree, not just a single elective class.
Lane County’s CTE programs partner closely with local businesses, industry, and Lane Community College to provide a continuum of instruction and create opportunities that promote creativity, innovation, and leadership.
Our CTE Programs of Study provide important pathways to success for high school students and offer each student opportunities to personalize his or her education based on their career interests and unique learning needs.
